From 1 September 2010 we are having a price change. Many clients have said this is a more appropriate time for a price change so that budgets can be set based on actual prices that will be paid. We have not had a price rise on new Units for around 3 years but the time has come. 

As part of our pricing review we will be extending the free upgrade time for version changes from 6 to 12 months. This means that if Instant publishes a new version of a Standard you will be able to download it for free if it is less than 12 months since you last paid for it.

With all of the changes that are happening as part of the Standards Alignment Review, Instant has decided to offer assessment resources for Achievement Standards.

Alongside this NZQA are launching a brand new pre-moderation service for commercial providers of Achievement Standard assessment tools, to be known as QAAM (Quality Assured Assessment Material).  Instant has been asked to be one of only four providers to pilot this new NZQA service. All of Instant’s Achievement Standard Assessments will be pre-approved by NZQA (QAAM approved).

NZQA has had a change in policy. When they are expiring a Standard they now roll it over to the next version number. E.g. 2977 Version 4 was the most recent and now that it is expiring it has rolled over to version 5. There has been some confusion about this.

In recent months NZQA has changed the versions of Communication Skills, Computing and Supported Learning Unit Standards.

Instant has published new versions of all of the Communication Skills Standards. These have also been mapped to the learning progressions for adult literacy.

Instant is in the process of publishing the new versions of the Computing Unit Standards. We apologise for the delay over this but they now incorporate the most recent moderation advice as published by NZQA in late January. We expect them all to be published progressively over the next month.
